Crazy socks

Hi peeps ,

Hoikes , zo de eerste sokken van het jaar zijn klaar .. ja , okey ik was er het vorig jaar al mee begonnen , maar nu zijn ze een affo !! En een hele gave AFFo , al vind ik het zelf ....... voor mij kan een paar sokken niet kleurrijk genoeg zijn !!
Het wolletje was een RAKje van een Halloween Angel ! :-)
Zo... dan gaan we nu vriendlief zijn sokkenla maar weer aanvullen :-)

The first socks of this year are fau-fantastic .. at least TMHO !! Love all the weird colors ! The yarn was a RAK from an halloween Angel !
So, nou it's hubbies turn again for socks !

Hoikes , ik ben het nieuwe jaar maar es begonnen om mijn stempelhokkie in te duiken en deze 2 kaarten zijn het resultaat .
De fairykaart is een echte "me" kaart , gemaakt op een spin and splash achtergrond van ranger's Alcoholinks ,
En bij de patchworkkaart heb ik wat restjes schrappapier bestempeld met Vivid dye inkt ...

The first days of the new year i decided to pay a visit in my stampingcave ... this 2cards are the result ,
The fairy card is a real "me" card, stamped on a spin and splash background with Rangers Alcoholinks ,
And the patchworkcard made from scraps stamped with Vivid dye inks ....

Last socks of 2011

Hi peeps ,

Hoikes , dit zullen de laastste sokken van dit jaar zijn , ik ga vanavond wel een paar voor mezelf op de naalden zetten , maar die zullen pas ver in t volgend jaar klaar zijn :-) Het gebruikte garen is Regia 6 draads , gebreid op dps nr 3 in maatje 43 voor DB !

This are the last socks for 2011 , tonight i will start a pair for myself , but for sure they are not ready this year anymore :-)

A touch of Frost

Hi peeps ,

Hoikes , mijn Wellenbaktus is eindelijk klaar , een heerlijke no-brainer , maar zonder de DVDtjes van Jack Frost zou het wel saai breien zijn geweest :-)
Ik heb ietsje meer dan 2 bolletjes delight gebruikt , ik heb hem vanmiddag aangehad en hij is veel warmer dan een gewone Baktus , een aanraderdus !!

Finally I finished my Wellenbaktus , a lovely no-brainer .. but without the DVD's from Jack frost knitting would be a bit boring ! The scarf is warmer than a normal baktus , i just love him !!

Easy x-mas cards

Hiya peeps ,

Hoikes ,
de laaste tijd had ik best wel zin om weer es een kaartje te maken , maar omdat ik er helemaal "uit" ben , heb ik maar voor wat simpels gekozen ...
Sommigen noemen het scrap, anderen noemen het grid, maar ik noem het gewoon patchwork kaarten ..
Waar het papier en de stempels vandaan komen , weet ik echt niet meer , ik weet alleen dat de 2 onderste kaarten gemaakt zijn met Alcoholinkt van Ranger .

I really had wishes to make some cards again but because i lost my feelings a bit , i decided to atart with something simple ... they are called scrap or gridcards but i just call 'm patchworkcards .
I have no idea anymore which brand are the stamps and papaers , i only know that the 2 on the bottom are made with Ranger alcoholink .

Mojos , my first try !

Hiya girlz ,

Hoikes , na e4en hoop ladderproblemen in de averrechtse toeren is het me dan toch gelukt om deze Mojos van de pennen te laten rollen !
Ik heb wel het een en ander aan het origineel veranderd ... ze zijn symetrisch en ik heb de zool plat gelaten , omdat ik dacht dat die ribbels onder mijn voeten niet zo lekker zouden lopen :-)
Het wolletje is gewapt op Ravelry en ik heb het met ontzettend veel plezier gebreid !! Ik denk dat er nog wel wat Mojos zullen volgen in de toekomst :-)

After some starters problems :-) i managed to finish these Mojos , made in my own way , think I will make more of those socks , they are really comfy !!

Hiya girlz ,

Hoikes , zo vriendlief is weer een paar sokken rijker :-) De wol is 6 draads van Trekking en breide heerlijk weg ..... ben benieuwd wat voor kleurtje hij voor zijn volgende sokken kiest !!
Verder ben ik met een paar semi-Mojos voor mezelf bezig , binnenkort meer daarover ... hoop ik ! :-)

So, another pair of socks for DB , the yarn is from Trekking , knitted on dps nr 3 european size .
I am slo trying to make myself some Mojos , hope to show them next time :-)

Eigenlijk wilde ik deze omslagdoek Miss Marple noemen omdat ik hem gehaakt heb onder t kijken naar de DVD Box waarin dit breiende dametje de moeilijkste mysteries oplost , maar ik denk dat de kleuren in haar ogen een CRIME zouden zijn, lol !!
De omslagdoek is gehaakt van Noro Kureon Sock met nld 4
Helaas is ie een beetje te groot uitgevallen om woefke als model te nemen , dus jullie zullen het helaas met mij moeten doen !!

Actually i wanted to call this scarf Miss Marple , i was wastching the DVD's while chrocheting, but I think the colors would be a CRIME in her eyes !!
Made with Noro Kureon Sock and too big to use the dog as a model agein :-))

Socktober socks

Hiya girls ,

Hoikes ,
hier mijn bijdrage voor de Socktober KAL op de NKS , een paar rode sokken voor vriendlief , in een simpele rib zodat ik lekker wat horrofilmpies heb kunnen kijken onder het breien ! Het garen is natuurlijk weer Drops Fabel, ik vind dat garen voor die prijs fantastisch !! Ik heb nog 2 paar sokken op de naalden staan , maar die zullen niet voor deze maand zijn .... er spoken nog veel meer breipatroontjes door mijn kop ! :-))

This is my entry for the Socktober Kal on the NKS , red socks for my luv in a simple rib so i could watch horror movies when i was knitting :-)
There are more socks on the way , but they have to wait .. got enough knitting ideas in my head to drive me crazy, hehe :-))

Columbo / another hitchhiker

Hiya girls ,

Hoikes , eindelijk dan weer iets om te showen , een hitchhiker van 2 resten Drops Fabel , was heerlijk om te breien , alleen werd dat effen garen op den duur toch wel wat saai :-) Ik heb m columbo genoemd omdat het grootste deel gebreid is onder het kijken van Columbo DVD's !
Vrienlief wilde in geen geval als model dienen , dus ik heb woefke maar weer in de bank gezet , en hij vond het leuk !!

Finally something to show again , this hitchhiker, named Columbo is made from drops fabel , I gave him that name cos while i was knitting i was watching the DVD box Columbo :-)

Hoikes , met de sokkenla van vriendlief was het zo erbarmelijk gesteld dat ik hem maar wat voorrang moet verlenen :-) ... ik vraag me trouwens af woorom zijn sokken 10keer zo snel versleten zijn dan de mijne ..lol..
Het wolletje heeft meneer zelf uitgezocht , 6 draads van Online ... misschien leert ie zelf ook nog wel es breien ( in my dreams ) :-))

DB was almost running out of socks , so i had to make him a pair , the yarn he chose by himself is 6 ply from Online , knitted wit dps 3 european size ..

Hoikes , eindelijk weer es een paar sokkies af , het zou tijd worden met dit afschuwelijke weer , brrrrrrr !!!
Het zijn Ufo's ofwel Fliegende Untertasche van Schoppel , gebreid op dps 2.5 en het garen was een plezier om mee te breien en ze zitten heerlijk ... ik heb trouwens die hele rotzomer met gebreide sokken gelopen !!
Zo, nu weer verder aan een paar sokken voor vriendlief, die heeft weer een bol rood uitgezocht :-))

Finally another pair of socks finished again , the yarn is Fliegende Ubtertasche from Schoppel , made on dps 2.5 european size ... the yarn was a pleasure to knit !
So, now I have to knit hubbie a pair of socks, he choose red again :-))

Baktus for sis

Mijn zus wou ook graag een Baktus hebben .. zij kan wel breien , maar heeft er een bloedhekel aan , dus heb ik maar weer wat wol uitgezocht en de naalden ter hand henomen :-)) ... hij is nog net voor haar verjaardag klaar , en als we de weersvooruitzichten moeten geloven .........

My sis also wanted a Baktus , she knows how to knit but she hates it !! So I grabbed some wool, my needles and here's the result :-)

Finally finished

Hiya girlz,

Hoikes , jeetje wat heb ik zitten klooien met de rand van dat dekentje , tot 4 keer toe uitgehaald en opnieuw begonnen, maar hij bleef lubberen en golven , en het was nog wel naar een tutorial van attic24 !! De 4de keer heb ik andere scallops gemaakt en toen was het minder ... nu na blocken en naderhand nog een keer strijken ik ie bijna 100% recht. Volgende keer kijk ik wel in mijn haakboeken voor een randafwerking, pfffff
Volgens mijn medehaaksters moet ik niet zo streng voor mezelf zijn, maar ja ....
In ieder geval , dekentje hangt over de bank en zit al lekker vol met hondehaar :-))

Jeez, i followed a tutorial from attic24 but the edging wouldn't get flat , had to do it 4 times over and over ... next time i will do it different , lol :-)
At least it is on the sofa now , so this project is done !!

Half Granny Scarf

mijn halve granny stola is eindelijk klaar , ik heb m al ff gedragen en hij is heerlijk warm ! Het garen is Drops Delight .. ik heb m afgewerkt met een schulpjesrand en nog 3 kwatjes met kralen om een beetje het "jaren 60 effekt " te krijgen :-)
Nu zat ik me gisteren af te vragen , als ik dat ding aandoe om ergens naar toe te gaan , moet ik dan mijn tas over of ondat dat ding dragen ????????? Weet iemand daar misschien een oplossing voor ??? LOL

Finally my half granny scarf is finished , i used Drops Delight ,
I allready used it for a few hours and is it so warm and cozy to wear !!

De hitchhiker is klaar en ik heb bijna geen restjes meer om te haken , hahahaha :-)

The sockyarnleftovers were so tempting to me to see what they would look as a hitchhiker that I couldn't resist ..... si i have a hitchhiker more and no more leftovers for my granny blanket, lmao :-)

Hoikes , hehe, eindelijk zijn deze saaie sokken voor vriendlief klaar !! Als hij nog es zo een kleur uitzoekt doe ik net of ik niks zie , lol , jeetje wat was dat saai breien en dan mag ik nog blij zijn dat ie geen maat 48 heeft !!!!
De volgende sokken die meneer uitgezocht heeft zijn UFO's van Schoppel, maar dan mag ie toch zelf eerst helpen om het garen op te winden , lol ..

Finally this boring socks for DB are finished !! The next time he picks a color like this , i pretend i don't see it !! Now he wants UFO's from schoppel, but first he can help me rewind the yarn, lol !!

Hoikes , ik weet niet of het bij mij alleen is , maar ik heb 2 dagen niet in kunnen loggen hier bij Blogger en ik kan ook maar op sommige andere blogs een berichtje achterlaten :-(
Anyway , de sokken voor vriendlief zijn klaar , ze gaan voorlopig in de kast want het word lekker weer ... hoop ik !!
Het garen is 6 draads trekking en ik heb dps nr 3 gebruikt , ik heb nog een paar rode sokken voor hem op de naalden , maar omdat ik de kleur niet mooi vind, ga ik vanavond lekker haken !! :-)

World Wide Kip Day 2011

Hoikes , zaterdag was het de KIP dag en de NKS van Ravelry had in de Bosch een KarmaKipdag georganiseerd ... het was in 1 woord geweldig !! Ik ben alleen maar smiddags geweest ( ben niet zo'n ochtendmens ) en behoorde officieel tot de "terrasplakkers"
Ik moet eerlijk zeggen dat ik me meteen thuisvoelde tussen al die lieve meiden die ik alleen nog maar van internet kende , iedereen was even lief !! Van breien is echter bij mij niet veel terecht gekomen, wel van kletsen !! lol :-)

Als verrassing kregen we ook allemaal nog een GoodieBag , jeetje , wat zaten daar leuke spulletjes in , van zoiets kun je alleen maar dromen :-)

De hitchiker is klaar , wat een schitternd garen die Noro , je kan er gewoon niet mee stoppen .. Ondanks dat deze Silk Garden veel minder meter op een bol heeft is hij toch best nog groot geworden , ik heb er 31 puntjes uit kunnen halen en hij is heerlijk warm ...
Jammer dat ik niet aan een volgende kan beginnen , maar vriendlief wilde zomersokken , dus dat eerst maar .... jammer dat ie een bijna effen garen uit heeft gekozen , dat is zo saai om te breien na al deze kleurenpracht ......

Well, my Hitchhiker is finished and i really would like to start another one , lmao , but DB wants some summersocks , so i am gonna make those socks first ...
Too bad he chose an almost solid color , i am afraid that the knitting will be extremely boring after all those colors :-)

Hoikes meiden , wat doe je als je geen zin hebt om te stempelen of te haken en je hebt een prachtige bol Noro Silk Garden in huis liggen ?? Het huis schoon gaan maken of in de tuin werken ?? Natuurlijk niet , je gaat gewoon weer aan een volgende Hitchhiker beginnen , lekker makkelijk patroontje voor onder een leuke film of serie , en dan genieten van de mooie kleurtjes ...

What would you do if you do not feel like stamping or chrochet and you have a skein of Noro Silk garden in home ?? You start cleaning or something ? Nope, nada , you just start another Hitchhiker .. i love that mindless knitting while watching TV , enjoying all wonderful colors ..

Hoikes , kijk eens wat er gisteren in mijn brievenbus lag .... de sokken die ik een paar weken geleden gewonnen had van de Give Away op het blog van Breien Maar !!!
Zijn ze niet schitterend ?? Ik vind ze supergaaf , ze passen perfekt en ik snap niet hoe ze zo snel gebreid zijn !! ( ahun, ik zal es wat minder pc spelletjes moeten doen :-)) Ontzettend mooie sokkn , en speciaal voor mij gebreid ... woww , ik ben er hardstikke bij mee !! Nogmaals bedankt, meid !!!!!

Look what I found in my mailbox yesterday , enchanting socks , specially knitted for me ! I did win them with the Give away on Breien Maar .... I just love them , I am so thankful !!!

Hoikes , mijn 2de hitchhiker is klaar en er kriebelt al iets van een 3de , hehe . De Noro Kureyon is betoverd mooi van kleur, de foto doet er echt geen eer aan !!! Aangezien ik kompleet voor paal loop sinds mijn laatste kappersbezoek , heb ik ons woefke maar weer als model gepakt, maar veel zin had ie niet :-)
De Hiker is nog niet geblokt en dat ga ik ook niet doen , ik ga m dragen , al is het 30 graden, hahahaha

Finally my 2th hitchhiker is finished , The Noro Kureon has entchanting colors !! As i was having a real bad hairday , i took the dog as model again, don't think he liked it very much , lol

Deze week kreeg ik tot mijn enorme verbazing een beelschone , supergave RAK in de bus !! Ik kon mijn ogen bijna niet geloven !! Ik liet een comment achter op het blog van Irene op iets wat ik ontzettend mooi vind , en de volgende dag lag het zomaar in de brievenbus ... zo mooi, ik kom er niet op uitgekeken , en helemaal handgemaakt !!
Kijk maar eens op haar blog , echt de moeite , ze maakt schitterend dingen !! Nogmaals hardstikke bedankt, irene !!!

Laatst vroeg iemand me om een paar niet gestempelde kaartjes te maken , en dit zijn ze dus ... vroeger.. als ze vroegen wat het koste zei ik altijd , geef maar wat ze je waard zijn .... nu zei ik ... geef maar een bol gave sokkenwol :-))

last week someone asked me to make a few (not stamped) cards , so here they are .. when they asked me how much they had to pay , i didn't answer ( like before) what they are worth to you , but i said ... just gimme a skein of sockyarn :-))

Ondertussen ben ik al een stukkie verder met mijn nieuwe hitchhiker als op deze foto , de kleuren van Noro Kureon Sock zijn schitterend !!!!! En het lijkt wel hoe langer je er naar kijkt , hoe mooier ze worden ... droomkleuren !!!
De prachtige bol garen was een hele lieve RAK van haar , kijk ook ff op haar blog , echt de moeite waard !

I am a bith further with the hitchhiker than on the pic , the colors are AWESOME !!
it seems like the longer you look at the yarn the more beautiful they become ... just enchanting !!

Hiya girlz

Hier ff een update van hoever ik met mijn restjesdekentje ben ,iedere dag een paar vierkantjes en je ziet de stapeltjes groeien .
Ik ben er nog niet uit hoe ik ze aan elkaar ga hechten , maar ik denk met een toer zwart... ook nog een heel karwei dus ... en het ergste is ... ik ben al druk aan een nieuw haakprojekt aan het denken !:-)
Enne... een 2de Hitchhiker staat ook nog op de menukart !

Here's an update from my sockyarn leftover blankie , i just love to do it , Think i am gonna join the squares ( when i have made enough) with black , another hell of a job :-) I am also thinking about a next chrochet project and another hitchhiker etc :-)

Finally socks again !!

Dit is pas het eerste paar sokken wat ik dit jaar klaar heb, erg he !!
Ik heb een weekje niet kunnen handwerken omdat ik een allergie op mijn handen had , waarschijnlijk van een nieuw schoonmaakmiddel , grrr , maar nu kan ie weer :-))
Zo, nou weer een paar nieuwe op de naalden zetten , DB heeft een afschuwelijke kleur uitgezocht waarvan hij graag een paar sokken wil , en verder vierkantjes haken voor mijn SockYarnLeftoverBlankie ( wat een woord!)

This are the firstsocks i finished this year , i am getting lazy i guess :-) This week i couldn't do anything, i had some allergic reaction on my hands , but it's gone now , so i can start a new pair of socks and make grannies for my Sockyarnleftoverblankie !:-))

My first hitchhiker !!

Mag ik jullie mijn allereerste Hitchhiker voorstellen ?? Ik kreeg het patroon deze mand als een lieve RAK en ben er na het maken van een proefje meteen mee aan de slag gegaan .... het patroon breit zo lekker weg dat je gewoon niet kan stoppen ... nog een puntje en dan stop ik , denk je telkens , maar je breit gewoon door !! :-)
Het is zeker niet mijn laatste !!
Het garen is van de Regia Kaffe Fasset designline , gebreid op nl 3 en de kraaltjes had ik nog liggen ...

May I introduce you my very first Hitchhiker ? I got the pattern as a sweet Rak this month and started straight away .... knitting was really fun , and for sure this won't be my last one !! Yarn is from Rega Kaffe fasset design line and beads were from my stash ...

On the background of the pic you see my Drops delight sweater which has to be ready before the next century, i hope :-) The blue-ish socks are for DB , yep the color was chosen bij him , so he is not longer thinking that men can only wear dark colors , lol
And the other pair of socks are for me ......

I also started like a lot of other Dutch people on Ravelry a leftoversockyarnblankie ( nice word huh ? ) Hope there is gonna be a yarnswap soon again , i am allmost without leftovers , lol !!

Even though the scanner doesn't show it , the card is completely shiny , the blue background is shiny , the stamped flowers are shiny pink and the wite flower is made pink with glimmermist ...

Hiya girlz,

A few days ago I finished my first Baktus , I used the instructions from StrickeLiese , and i love it !!!!! It was so delightful and easy knitting , with such a great afford that for sure i will make one again ..... and with those freaking cold days i use it with pleasure , it's so soft, warm and cozy !!
The yarn i used is Scheepjes Invicta Color and I used needles 3 ( european size)
The model is my doggie Bueno :-))

In the mean time i have also 2 pairs of socks on my needles and a sweater so i am not getting bored :-)

This card and matching ATC's i made a few days ago, but blogger didn't let me post pics......
The card is made ( like usual ) with the spin and splash and Rangers alcoholinks , stamps are from Stampers Anonymus and StampinBack ...
The backgrounds from the ATC's were laying around for a long time , i don't know anymore how I made them , stamp is from StampinBack again and i have also no idea from were are the vintagepics , cos they were a gift !

The yarn is Drops Fabels and I used dpns european size 2.5 The socks are looking a bit weird but the sockblockers are way too small, they are for my size :-))

Knitting update !

Yes, almost winter , my feet are cold again ( and the rest of my body too , lol ) so time to take the knitting needles out of the dust :-))
The blue socks for DB , a real boring color , I started a long time ago .... Thanks goodness he loves handknitted socks so much now , that he doesn't care about the color anymore .. with the next socks I (!!!) can pick the color *grins*
The other socks are a pair of monkeys for myself , i think , the wool is Araucania , coming all the way from Chile ..... very weird if you know that in Chile most people are too poor to buy this kinda yarns .. if they can afford to buy yarn, they buy the most cheapest acryl ..
The sweater I started ( a hell of a job ) is from Drops delight , a wonderful colored yarn, but not relaxing to knit ... the tread is twined very loose, so half of the time , i stick with the neeldle in the yarn ..
Dunno if the weater this year will be finished :-))

Usually i don't do scetch challenges coz i find them extremely difficult , but this week i gave it a try by the challenge group Don't Waste Your Thursdays .
All papers i used are from Basic Grey , the butterfly is heat embossed in black and colored with a green metallic pen and golden stickles ... its a pretty shiny butterfly , one of my first stamps i ever bought .. the swirl stamp is from StampinBack..

A few weeks ago , i was trying to sponge a card , yes, i am still not an expert in this technique !!! I thought the card was really yuckkie and threw it somewhere on my table . A few days later a stampingfriend came for a visit , she is way better than me so i asked her for advice about the card and she told me it was good enough to finish it ... and so i did , LOL

For the background i used Vivid dye inks , the bats are from PSX , the cat from Ready to stamp, and the branches stamp is from StampinBack .

So now u all know why i call myself a chaos ... I am thinking about wich crosstitch UFO to finish , i spend hours on Ravelry looking for a scarf pattern and what are my hands doing ?? Yup, stamping !! LOL
This is my entry for the EAC "In the garden" , yes , what is a garden without a fairy ?? For me a garden needs a fairy !!

I made the background with alcholinks from Ranger, the green branches are stamped with Vivid , The fairystamp, i have no idea what factory it is and the other stamps are from Art Journey ... The wings are colored with Shimmerzmarkers and the flowers with Glimmermist , so the whole card is shiny :-)

UFO's

Pffff, I didn't realize that it was such a long time ago that i posted something... the weather here was horrible ..... I love hot weather , but there was so much humid and smog in the air that it was allmost impossible to move on ...

So , the only thing what i did was sorting out my stash ... a hell of a job :-))

I found those 5 samplers which i really ant to finish ... the problem is with which one to start..lol..

* the one on top is a Friesche ( Dutch ) sampler , I am using A ver a Soi on 36 count church linnen ...

* the one on the left is the Vier Landen Sampler , I think I just started , lol , I did only a little piece in a corner from a huge piece of linen ... 36 count with good old DMC

* the little blue one is from a Belgium Designer , I used 40 count cheesecloth with Anchor ..

* next to that there is a Butternot Road Design made with caron's Watercolors on 28 count Flamish Farmers linen ..

* And the last one is a Spanish Sampler , for which I used 32 count Belfast wit caron's Waterlillies ....

I do hope that in my next blog I can tell you what sampler will be finished in the future :-))

Last week I made some ATC's , the one i posted here is the one I like most ... I made it when i was listening to Hurt from Johnny Cash ( I just love that song !!!) .... played it several times, hehe :-))

All used inks are dye inks from Vivid , graveyard stamp and the man are from Cherry Pie , the moon was a gifted image , so i have no idea ...

Here are the promised pics from the socks I made .... yes I know the pics are a bit blurry , but I am not a good photographer and i also don't like makeing pics !!

This first pair I made for my boyfriend ... first he didn't want to wear handknitted socks and now he doesn't want to take them out, lol ...so i netter make him some more ...

This are just a pair of basic ribbed socks , good to knit when you are watching TV :-)

And this are a pair of the famous Dutch " koffieboontjes" made for myself ofcourse , hehe ...... I really love those colors !!!! I have another 2 pairs on my nedles , but the batteries of the camera were empty ( like usual ), so I will show them next time :-)

yes I am back, it really has been a while !!!

First my PC crashed , I lost lots of pics and scans because i allways have intentions to make a vack-up, but I never do it :-) ,

Than i had some health issues... they are not solved but I am still alive , hehe

We moved into another house and we got so much problems with the internetprovider that we were allmost 2 months without webconnection !!!

But here i am again ....

Yea, i am back, sorta .... i am not going to annoy you with details , for the moment i am back :-))

Hope you don't mind i am not leaving lots of comments at your blogs, but i really enjoy watching all your wonderful work !!

This card i made for my brother in law , he loves fishing ( yuck ) , the blowfish is from Stampinback , so are the watercolors I used for the background ,the background stamp is from I Brake , the text stamp is unknown and the bubbles are gelly stickers ..

This inchie card is made with stamps from Inkadinka , i stamped them on a background made with the bleeding tissue technique .... all pieces are punched , a quick card to make , so I think i will make a few more :-))

Scrappy weekend

Even though my mojo isn't back yet I can show something ..... Recently I've read lots about finishing with all the leftovers and scraps that are around .

I decided to kick myself under my butt, go to my craftcave and finish with all scraps that were laying around on my table , specially the leftovers from the serendipity !!

The results are 4 cards , simple but nice , 2 ATC's , and 6 little giftlabels ... i still have to add a ribbon on them .... not bad for someone without any inspiration , i think.. lol

Some people asked me what I am gonna do with all those cards ..... and the answer is ... I don't know !!! I send them , but my family and most of my friends , they don't apreciate handmade cards ... I send cards to close internet friends ....

But most of the cards are in boxes , if I stop making cards now, I will have more than enough to send the rest of my life ! Sometimes I wanna stop , if I see all those boxes ....... but I just like making them !!

Forever Stamps

Hiya Girls

On Brigitta's blog there is a challenge to creat something with her stamps .... Because I really love Brigitta's stamps, I had to make a card ..

For this card , the background , I added first a layer from Cats eyes in different colors in DTP technique ..... the second layer is dye inks brayered over de pigment ink, than I stamped the tribalmotive with bleach ...... and than the lizzard with StazOn ..

The Indian and feathers were stamped separatedly and added on the background ..

All stamps are from Brigitta !!

Yes , with the help of my 2 lil friends I managed to finish anoter pair of socks .. just a basic sok in 3k-1p rib. Maybe you wonder why I make so many ribbes socks ... wel , my ankles and legs a a bit skinny and ribbed socks just fit me the best ... with ribbed socks I don't need to pull them up every time when walking :-)

For this socks I used dpn's european size 2.5 , and the yarn is Meilenweit Inca ..

And ofcourse I had to start a new pair .... I some webshop they called this color Tex Mex , and I love that name , so this are gonna be my Tex Mex socks :-)

Yes, i knitted that sweater about 20 years ago ( OMG I am gettin old !!!) and it's still wearable..

For the april ATC swap on the Stampingfantasy Yahoo group, my partner was Gerda V , we didn't have any theme , the swap was completely free, only non cute .... on the top pic you can see the ATC's I send to her ..... hope she likes them !

Playing with colors

If it is with inks or with yarns , I allways love to play with colors ... when I make ATC's , usually I make 2 or 3 with the same image but with different colors ... I love to see the difference a color can do with an image .

Those ATC's are colored with liquid watercolor on semi glossy paper , I heat embossed all sides with gold ...

This wonderful stamp is from Artistic Outpost .....

Yep, another pair of socks is finished !!! Usually I don't care about the colors , as long as you can see the socks are from the same yarn, it's okey to me .... but with this Kaffe Fasset yarn I wanted to knit 2 socks who are the same .. Because I didn't want to disturb the colorpattern I made an afterthoughtheel in those socks ..

So... what color I shall put on my needles now ?? :-)

It was allready very hot in my stampingcave , so i think in summer it will be boiling there , but never mind .... for me it is better than suffering cold :-)

This card I made on a Spin & Splash background, made with alcoholinks from Ranger and the stamps are from Stampinback and I brake ....

So, now I am going back to the heath there to finish some ATC's :-)

Recently I picked up this UFO ... it is gonna be a folk sweater from all kind of cotton leftovers ... My intention was to make some simple folk roses in swiss darning on the black stripes , in bright colors ... but now I am not so sure anymore if this is gonna look good ...

So shall I add roses on the black stripes or not ?? Please , help me or it will be an UFO forever :-)

Yes, I started something new , something blue , and it are socks ... LOL ... I am doing these in a simple 3k-1p rib , coz those ribbed socks really fit nice (usually) :-)

I am using dpns 2.5 eropean size and the yarn is from Meilenweit .

Mindless knitting 1

Yesterday I finished the first of the 2 pairs mindless knitting socks .. for the first time i made a short row heel and it did it the easy way..LOL.. I tried the "no wraps, no holes" thing, or whatever it is called ..... and it fits perfect !!

I am afraid that the other pair gets a vacationtime in the WIP drawer , coz I am a bit tired of the plain stockinette stitch ... I wanna start something new, something blue .... and there is also still this folk sweater that I have to finish ...

OMG . where can I buy time ?????

My card isn't exactly a Dutch spring, but never mind, LOL !! I used Vivid dye inks , the swirlstamp is from Stampattack and the butterfly .. I dunno anymore ...

Mindless knitting

Yesterday I borrowed the DVD box of Sherlock Holmes , so you can understand that I need some mindless knitting that I can do while watching all those movies :-)

I started 2 pairs but I wanna try some different heels , so they are not completely mindless, LOL !!

Both yarns are from Regia , the one in top is from the Kaffe fasset design line , and the other one is a Galaxy something....

And Yes Dawn ...in summer I'm also gonna knit , coz the Dutch summers are lousy , before we realize it is autumn again :-)

Yes Carol, more socks ...lol..

I found out that specially in this humid country , we're having rain, rain and more rain every day , I really feel more warm and comfy in handknitted socks , so I think that Ihave to knit sock for the rest of my life !! :-)

After the man's colors I felt like knitting something bright and colorful so I chose this yarn with the attractive name "Istanbul" ... I am doing it with a lil fake-cable pattern again, here's a close up ...

Hiya girls

It was really yuckie weather here , a lousy sunday , so I made some cards again :-)

This one was made for a fun challenge on a Dutch Hobby website .. I used Colorbox Chakinks and scrappapers from Basic Grey .. stamps are from Paper Artsy and Stampers Anonymous...

btw ... I was the only one who made a non cute scrapcard ... LOL

For this one I used Rangers Alcoholinks on 2 different kind of glossy papers to get 2 different coloreffects .... swirlstamp is from Stampinback, Lady is from Tome to Stamp ..

Sorry for the blurry scan , but the brad was too thick, I guess ...

So... no I gotta start knitting socks for my Dad's birthday :-)
