update Spanish Sampler

Thank you all again for all your kind comments !!

Finally I found some time to stitch on my Spanish Sampler , I still love this design !! When the stitching is done , I have to add 4 boxes of beads, so I think it will be a WIP for a long time ...

This other old Spanish Sampler , I made it in 1999 when I lived in Chile ... It was originally a design from a tablecloth , and i made a lot of changes in the design .. It is stitched on 36 count churchlinen with all kind of silk leftovers ( Au ver a soie, Caron's etc ) When the sampler was almost done , a sigaret fell on the linnen , and yep a hole in it ... about 1 inch from the last band , so it couldn't be framed anymore ... so I decided to do the edging in the nun's stitch ... and now it it just in a drawer with the others... maybe on day they all get framed ...

Samplerwal

First I want to thank everybody for their sweet comments on my blog , to me this is a big stimulation to go on !!

The weather is still hot and humid here , even when you do nothing , you are sweating, and I am still knitting on my sweater ..lol.. But it isn't very exiting to show every day a pic from 1 inch progress... I am also making a few ATC's every day , you can see them in my Flickrstream ...

So what shall I show here ??? Reading Carol's blog , I saw that she showed us a wonderful sampler she made in the past .... When I just started my stitching , I really was ( and still am ) a samplerfreak ... I just love samplers !!! On this pic you can see a few of the samplers that are framed ... most of them are still waiting in a drawer to be framed ..

It also reminded me that under my bed there is a huge suitcase full of things I ever stitched ... tableclothes, little sceneries , and lots of folk stitching from all over the word ... I will ask my DB if he can make pics of my folkstitching for a next blog maybe ....

My Furbabies

Ooopss, I allmost forgot to introduce my furbabies .. Please don't pay attention on the mess on the background from the pic ...LOL.. The bigger one ( the one wth his eyes closed ) is called Bueno , he is 5 years old and he is epileptic ( but according to the vet, with good medication they can get a normal dog-age) and the little one is called Pancho ( 3 years old )... Usually they have the better places in the bed and DB and I , we can sleep on what's left, lmao ....

Just some cards

For a change we are having beautiful sunny weather ... too beautiful to stay inside, so not much crafting to show... I did all the shoppings that i wanted to do but never did because it was raining too much .. and I made those 2 cards ...

I made the backgrounds with alchoholink, the same color combinatitons but on different kind of papers , so you get different results, but the fit really well together...

So, I am going to read a book on my balcony and try to catch a fresh breeze..

monthly ATC swap

Today I recived the monthly ATC swap from the Yahoo group StampingFantasy ... This month, my partner was Petra and she send me those gorgeous ATC's .. I love them !!!
This are the ATC's I made for Petra , I hope she likes them !!

We are still having rain, but the weather forcast promised nice sunny weather for the rest of the week .. Let's see .. I finished the front of my sweater , so now I can spend the rest of the evening sewing in lots of threads from the colorchangings... yuckkkk

July ornament

We are still having rain, rain and some more rain, so that means lots of time to be creative ..

I finished my cross stitch ornament for the montly SAL on SNS2 , or I better say I made two ornies :-) ... They are stitched on 40 count linen with a single strand of Caron's Waterlilies and I added some Mill Hill petite glass beads on it .. They are stuffed with dried Lavender ... i just love the smell !! What you see on the background is part of my Indian perfume oil collection , Yes I do smell like a hippie back in the sixties.. LOL

colors , colors and more colors ...

Usually I have quite a few backgrounds in stock, in case I have some inspiration to make ATC's or cards .. I noticed that I was running out of backgrounds , so I decided to look for my alcoholinks and I started playing with them ...

Actually, to my (humble) opinion , there is nothing more wonderful then alcoholink.. the colors are so rich and warm , and it is impossible to make 2 times the same background , every attempt will be different ! Every single background is a surprise how it will turn out ...

So , those babies are ready ... sooner or later it will be ATC's or cards ..

A bit about me ..

Well okey, a new blog in blogland ...

I am Patti , living in the Netherlands together with my DB and 2 Jack Russels, called Bueno and Pancho ...

My big addiction is rubber stamping , I love to make and trade ATC's and i make also greetingcards . For my ATC's I will try to add a link to my Flickrstream later .. here are some of my latest cards...





Another passion of me is cross stich , the Wip I am working on now is the Spanisch Sampler , a design from Annemiek from the Handwerkboetiek ..
I am stitching with a single strand of Caron's Waterlilies on 32 count antique white Belfast ...




A while ago , I also picked up knitting again .. My intention is to finish this sweater as soon as possible , because I joined the locel Stitch 'n Bitch and i want to learn how to knit socks , but I have to wait till after the summervacation before i can go to my first SnB meeting !!! I am knitting the sweater from cotton on needles #3 ( european size ) , the front is 176 stitches ... after the knitting I want to add some Andean motives in Swiss Darning on the black bands ... so it is gonna take me a while if it is ever gonna be finised ..LOL...

I do hope to meet some wonderful people in blogland !!!!
