They say that .... sometimes less is more .... and now i do understand what they mean !! This stamp from Artistic Outpost is so beautiful that it doesn't need something more .... actually I think that the flowers are allready too much....

The background is made with liquid watercolor from stampinback, and like I said before thae stamp is from Artistic Outpost .

Hiya girls ,

Yes Carol, more socks ...lol..

I found out that specially in this humid country , we're having rain, rain and more rain every day , I really feel more warm and comfy in handknitted socks , so I think that Ihave to knit sock for the rest of my life !! :-)

After the man's colors I felt like knitting something bright and colorful so I chose this yarn with the attractive name "Istanbul" ... I am doing it with a lil fake-cable pattern again, here's a close up ...

Ghosting

On a new Yahoo group that I joined, we have to make every month a card in a different technique ... this month the technique is ghosting ..

Here are my ghost cards , I used mainly Colorbox Cat's Eyes and StazOn black ... don't ask me about the stamps that I used ... I don't have any idea anymore ... lol

Yeahh, I made it !! Dad's socks were ready just in time ... and what was even better , the size was okey and he liked them :-)

So ... now I have a big decision to make ... what kinda socks shall i start for me now ?? It is so difficult to chose between the colors .. lol :-)

Last week I asked my Dad what he wanted for his birthday and guess 1 time ....... He wants handknitted socks !! So , no way , I started knitting a pair of socks for him .. He chose the color by himself ....

I have to hurry with the socks , cos his Bday is allready on saturday .. hope they are ready in time !!

Some cards

Hiya girls

It was really yuckie weather here , a lousy sunday , so I made some cards again :-)

This one was made for a fun challenge on a Dutch Hobby website .. I used Colorbox Chakinks and scrappapers from Basic Grey .. stamps are from Paper Artsy and Stampers Anonymous...

btw ... I was the only one who made a non cute scrapcard ... LOL

For this one I used Rangers Alcoholinks on 2 different kind of glossy papers to get 2 different coloreffects .... swirlstamp is from Stampinback, Lady is from Tome to Stamp ..

Sorry for the blurry scan , but the brad was too thick, I guess ...

So... no I gotta start knitting socks for my Dad's birthday :-)

Bad luck socks , part 2

The battle is over and yep, I did win !! :-)

The purple Meilenweitsocks are finished ... I still love the color ... they are nice and confy , but I never, never knit socks with this yarn again !!!!

So now i can start thinking what kinda socks to knit next :-)

ATC swap

My ATC swap for this month on the Yahoo group StampingFantasty was with Jeanette H ... Weww.. this was a magical swap .. we agreed a 3/3 swap about "things with wings"

Ready for spring

Hiya girls ,

Yesterday I had a haircut , coz I really was tired from my long hair .. It became a horror to wash and brush it ... so I decided to let it cut ... I still feel strange and to be honest .. I am not yet used to it .. I miss my hair !!! ( and yes I know I gotta clean that mirror !! :-))

I also finished this UFO , which was lying around for I dunno how many years .. I made it all from leftovers from other sweaters , all yarns are cotton mixtures ... It is full of bling-bling yarns .. so I am ready for spring ... at least if we get a springtime here this year .. Most Dutch springtimes are rain, rain, and more rain.. yikesss

Bad luck socks !

Hiya girls ,

OMG , if you only knew how i would like to throw this sock out of the window !! :-)

The first time I started , the neeldles were to big , so I had to rip it all ... a whole evening knitting for nothing, nada ..

The second time , on the right needles , i used a lil cable patren and after about a half sock , I noticed that even by daylight you couldn't see a damn cable ... the color seems to be too dark ... so i had to rip it all again... aarrcchhhhhh ... another waisted evening ...

And now i am knitting them in a 3k-1p rib ... i really don't like the yarn anymore ... even on smaller needles it is still very irregular , but let's see who wins ....... me or the socks !! :-)

Early X-mascards

Hiya girls ,

I was looking for something in my stash and I found some half finished X-mascards ... Last X-mas , with the hospitalthing and Mom passing away, I didn't send 1 single card ...

I thought I could as well finish them, so at least I hace some ready for this year :-)
